You won’t like this, but too bad.

For centuries white people have developed a sense of modernity with an ideal that looks like an educated, modest, upwardly mobile, Christian, white male. That’s a fact.

For centuries, non-white, not-male bodies have been the mark of illiteracy, poor health, immorality, sin, pain, loss, uncleanliness, ignorance, stupidity, hate, fear, chaos, anarchy, poverty, criminality, and other general instabilities.

In order to change this liberal social order in capitalist culture, white people are going to have to learn that they, not others, are the sole symbol for centuries of oppression. To deny this is to refuse to betray the inherited white privilege that comes without insistence as a result of white supremacy in capitalist culture, in liberal western culture.

People are going to hate what you represent. Too fucking bad. Accept the pain of privilege, betray it, and work with everyone to cultivate a new paradigm for culture. Or, choose to pretend that being a westerner is being an individual, continue to insist that you can only be responsible for yourself and that you are just like everyone else. Insist that white myth about everyday life is real, and you’ll continue to meet people who call you a privilege denying shit.

I need this photocopied and handed out at my college. And one for me to read at my bedside for constant conviction destruction.
