That sounds VERY weird to me. Does he mean living in postgrad halls/college own flats? They’d probably be quite nice. May not have full cooking facilities but I think a blanket ban is very unlikely. Definitely depends on the college though.

What? That’s ridiculous! At MASTERS level? I find that hard to believe. We weren’t given ovens in college but we had kitchens with hobs and microwaves all through - as undergrads. Most postgrads at Cam I know live out in houses.
I’m not sure, tbh. It depends what college he’s going to I think :/...
